Some more Leland/Claris vampiric medieval moonlight-lurve.
With a HENGE! Because you know, when you're going around England you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a menhir. At least, not in my head. 
I absolutely love drawing the nuzzled-on-chest pose. A couple times while I was doing this, I was thinking that it might be a wee bit disquieting to be nuzzled up on someone else's chest and have it be completely still. And cold. O_o Then again, if you're in a similar condition yourself, how disturbing could it really be? Would it be peaceful in its complete silence? I mean, having your head leaned against SOMEBODY is generally pretty nice... maybe even if the somebody in question isn't technically alive?

The area around Stonehenge today is a bit of a joke - a big trafficy road which is very slow as people keep slowing their cars to look at the stones^^ Anyway, I'd imagine it might be reasonably comfortable if you were also undead to be huddled next to someone the same... Claris has some amazing hair crimping device!

HEHEHUHU, yesss. Me toooo. When I was in high school I was a big vampire fan, and then recently they became SO INCREDIBLY POPULAR that I felt they were overdone, but I've cycled back to liking them again (thanks, Being Human and True Blood!

yeah... the vampire hype got a little too much... I like the first two Twilight books, but I think they made the vampires look a little well... like crybabies... nothing compared to the cool Rice-Vampires

Well, as a vampire, being dead is part of the terms of the whole thing. So even if he were real, he couldn't be alive. But as I said, I'd settle for just "real", since... well, you know.

I earn a little here and there, from commissions and the odd illustration job, but certainly not enough to really have a decent living from it. The fact is, there are many, MANY more people working in the same field who are much, much better, and unless you have a LOT of motivation and time it's hard to really establish yourself in the art field. Buuuut I work a little and I hope a little and maybe one day stuff may work out. I won't hold my breath, but it is a thought.

ACTUALLY (huhu) it has kind of a double meaning. "Requiescat", in ecclesiastical terms, is a prayer for the souls of the dead. As a verb, it's a form of "to rest". "Requiescat in pace", as a whole phrase, means "rest in peace", which is of course associated with funerary rites.

you know I think they look gooorgeous. I love the lines for this and how the colour on them makes their skin especially seem to glow. The sky looks makes it look so cold and lonely, too, like they're the only two that are left, or matter. I suppose for Claris that's pretty much true, at least

=Skioppy says she saw this guy [link] throwing water on his hair a couple years ago, and when it was dry it still had those same nutty curls. My fiance's hair does this too, so hairspray is DEFINITELY not a necessity!
