The first of the Arcana character sheets. Since many of you indicated that you want to know more about my characters, I'm going to do it this way. Major characters will each get their own sheet with some basic info and a character summary, and there's going to be some basic rundown of plot points in the future, which will be linked in the info of each character sheet. Just bear in mind, this is a PROJECT. It might take a while to get it all done. Hopefully you can bear with me and maintain interest.

Since this is her Character Sheet, I'll post it here. On The Mockingbird's Bower's comments was noticed the similarity between Rian and Satin's appearence.
Her traits are indeed quite similar to the Kidman's.
I just wanted to ask you if some other of your characters have a famous person as reference.

I hadn't thought about it at all, but now that a couple people are mentioning it, she really does look a little like Nicole Kidman... I think it's that somewhat feline look she gets sometimes.
Personally, I've always thought that Rian looks most like this lady: [link] [link] I have a couple other people that I'd have play my characters in the "movie version", if there ever was one, but I "cast" those guys WAY after I designed the characters. :3

Yes, the traits of the girl in the photos are actually more similar to Rian's...and sweeter than the Kidman's. But the eyes in your last work and the hair strongly reminds of the Kidman's

Yeah, I can definitely see the similarity.
I only have a couple people I've been thinking of as the "real" versions of my characters (I've got Rian, Farael and Malachi "cast", but nobody else, so no Pirossa yet... he is REALLY tough to peg!), but here they are anyway.
Rian I've been imagining as Evangeline Lilly, the girl in the photos I sent you already. Farael I've been imagining as this guy: [link] [link] [link] Even though they don't look EXACTLY alike, it's a whole screen-presence thing.

I love Ben Barnes...if only I had knew about this while drawing Dawn over a New World(aka Farael in trash undies)...That would have been a wonderful excuse to look for Ben's half naked photos!

HEHEHEHE!! Oh, I've been looking for those QUITE diligently, I'm not sure if they exist. BUT! BUT! Did you see the 2009 movie version of Dorian Gray? He gets mostly naked a WHOLE LOT during that.

No, I haven't...cinema is becoming quite expensive lately(and despite the crisis you should book your place a week before, which is annoying) so I was waiting to see it at home...and procrastinated!

He did in fact make it totally worth it. It was definitely more style than substance BUT I AM OKAY WITH THAT. Also, the costumes were amazing (when they weren't... you know... off.

AWESOME, that's where I live now! We ended up picking Boston for the Urban Arcana plotline because that's where I was living for school, and it ended up becoming, like... the imperial capital city. When we move we are going to have very fond made-up memories of Boston indeed.

i like Rian, she seems like such a courageous and complex character, i would like to know more about her outside this character sheet.
oh, and i love the way you colored her dress, especially the texture. is it done traditionally or did you apply some texture in PS?

Aw, thanks! She's actually fairly straightforward as characters go. Well-developed, maybe, but hardly what most would consider deep! 
As for the dress, it's a little of both, actually. I had a pattern drawn on traditionally, but it seemed unconvincing with just the flat digital color on, so I put a sort of brocadey-fabric texture over and tweaked the opacity so you can see the sort of leafy thing I drew. I don't know if you can actually pick the drawn pattern out the way it looks now, but overall it has exactly the effect I wanted, so whether or not you can see the drawing is totally peripheral.

I like the layout of the character sheet. It's a nice balance between seeing and reading. It's also quite useful to understand some of your pictures better.
On a side note, you're really uploading quite a lot. I think you're uploading twenty pieces while I'm maybe uploading two or three. (And your drawings are way better, too)
