Commission for , featuring their character Regna!
I'm super proud of how the atmosphere of this turned out. I thiiiink this is the first time I've done an inked, colored, and shaded character on a background with sketch lines. I did this as a test for my upcoming comic as a way to save time. It turned out really well, at least for a dim environment like this. A bright one might be different. We shall see!

This is actually the first time I'm commenting but I really love your use of color and scenery in this, it really makes me feel like if I were walking down in the city and the snow had just started. The way you used the light brings a pop of life to everything and the distant buildings and foggy haze is just so good. Amazing work Temiree like always!

I wonder... Because the background is filled with broadleaf trees that have evidently not shed their leaves (and look to have a green tint), was this an atypically early first snowfall, or does Robinsky15 's universe haveΒ a large city in highland Australia*? Or perhaps those trees are hardy broadleaf evergreens like snow gum or (particularly tall examples of) European holly?
*Areas in the southern Great Dividing Range can get regular snowfall, even considerable amounts, but those areas are devoid of native winter-deciduous broadleaf trees and instead include adapted evergreens like the aforementioned snow gum.

Speaking from experience where I live in Canada (Manitoba), we had our first big snowfall at the start of October and some trees were still green, like the ones in my backyard. The heavy snow ended up breaking a lot of branches and knocking some trees entirely because of the snow sticking to the leaves, which were still quite secure on the branches. It was an abnormally early snowfall, so I kind of replicated that experience for this piece. Maybe they shouldn't have been broadleaf trees (not my intention - I just drew some generic trees that I thought looked appealing), but to answer your question: yeah I imagined this as an unusually early snowfall.
