I love the comic so far, it's so cool to start right in the action. I guess Ness will have to learn from this battle. He seems to be overthinking, and this overthinking might come from a lack of confidence, so he doesn't let his experience and guts do the work and thinks to much. (Does that make any sense ? XD)
I hope Ness will lend at least one or two hits !

Thank you so much! Yeah I figured Nes was kind of the least... obvious personality among my characters? He was always the "normal one" in the double act with Ryan. I figured this graphic novel would be a great way to give insight in his character that I haven't otherwise shown. X3
The reason for the black bubbles and white text is because I thought it was less intrusive with the artwork. It helps preserve the focal points I set in the illustrations. If I used white speech bubbles, that would completely steal attention away from the visuals, in my opinion. I know it's kind of unconventional, but I think it works. I'm setting out on my own path!

It's a fictional sport I came up with. If you're knocked out, you lose. If you leave the ring (including by force), you lose. So yeah, it's like MMA but without the cage.
The rules were kind of outlined on page 7.
