I'm obsessed with ice and I wanted to make a special gift to +suzi9mm for her bday. Took me 2 days because my fridge sucks
you can see the making of by clicking here: [link] 430ex and 550ex used, processed in PS6, it was hard because the ice started to melt because I had to use hot water and everything was messy. Tomorrow I'll let it melt and I will take pictures to make a small frame by frame movie, its going to be great

But you know? some people think its freaky to do this type of things and that's sad, but I have the need to give the images a little bit of me. I think I'm just plain weird

of course it would be freaky for some people. you have to imagine them thinking of putting it up in a huge poster in their bedroom
once a potential and true "collector" knows what your art is all about, and they can "relate" to the stories and feel you're projecting their own hidden feelings, then you're not weird any more to them. they would love what you do because it too would have meaning for them.
the bit on the blood was like, wow, your own blood! but that brought to my mind this beautiful haunting classic movie called "the red violin", which told of an unusual red violin that survived the centuries and possessed and inspired any one who owned it to creating the best music or giving the best performance of that artist's life. turns out the mystery of the red colouring and the "spirit" of the violin was that the varnish was mixed with the blood of the beloved dead wife of the violin-maker, who had intended to make "the perfect violin" as a gift to his unborn son. his wife died in child birth. he slit her wrist when she was dead and let the blood flow so he could mix it with the varnish. that's eerie. but you see, that's what somehow gave it life and made it unique.
okay, i'm not advising you to drain your blood in the hopes of giving your art life! but what you did was probably done out of a need to obtain a certain desired effect, which really had that if i rewind and play back again and gain your video version (it's very special. you could do so much with that footage) and it's out of that sense of awareness that you get an effect. if you did this continuously, that would be freaky and weird
a true artist will always give a bit of himself in his best work, and often, it's with pain and hardship.

Ese efecto de medio pintura era uno de los que trataba de buscar pero solo se dio hasta que la procese afortunadamente salio como queria y pues si me complique un poquitin pero es una forma de agregarle algo aun mas personal y decir que le tengo mucho cariño a ella
