Follow me on Instagram ^_^ : www.instagram.com/temperatesag…We found this beautiful young little Western Skink in our neighborhood and decided to take a few quick pictures with it before releasing it again. It was very relaxed and even fell asleep on my warm fingertip.

Just wanna throw this out there, but they're known to play dead. It's very rarely seen, but it's a part of their defense. Something tells me he wasn't sleeping, and more just hoping you weren't going to eat him.

My cats are always hunting down those poor lizards on our garage.

Haha. these lizards don't leap, they only scurry. I thought about it too when I got it that close to my eye, but he was relatively docile.

This photo has such a wonderful, magical quality to it! It's simply beautiful! I love the clarity of the eye and the skink, the blurring and the contract, and the colours really pop and draw the eye! (No pun intended.)
