Follow me on Instagram ^_^ : www.instagram.com/temperatesag…We found this beautiful young little Western Skink in our neighborhood and decided to take a few quick pictures with it before releasing it again. It was very relaxed and even fell asleep on my warm fingertip.

Thank you! He was definitely a little jumpy at first, but then he calmed down and relaxed once he figured we weren't going to eat him. XD We were lucky to see him! I hear that the ones where we live are fairly secretive. I can believe it, because I hadn't seen one in the area before!

Hahaha, it was definitely on my mind as he was about a half inch from my eyeball. He didn't seem to be the jumpy sort, but he could certainly keep up a lightning fast waddle. XD

Thank you very much! This was actually taken in our back yard, so that mountains are obscured from view, but we live in Portland, OR so we do live quite close to the mountains.
