16.5x12.5The White Queen done on coloured paper in markers and pencil. Initially done for a client that has disappeared on me. So if anyone wants her, she is for sale! :-D

Ah, Emma! One of my fave comic book girls! The way you color and shade your white is BEYOND phenomenal! No matter how hard I try, I can't get my whites to look like that! You are so thrillingly talented!!!!

Awww sweetie, too kind! The white is easy, just use gauche, that is the trick. Having a medium that is really opaque. I know you could make it look exactly the same. Trust me. SO much has to do with the tools of the trade.

You're always welcome! I would love to use gauche, but I can't find it anywhere! I've looked in just about every art store I could find! It's nearly impossible to find around here. I may try some online stores. Is it a kind of paint? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place... Anyway, thank you so much for the wonderful tips you give me! Actually, I know for certain that you can buy it in Phoenix because I bought some in a local Phoenix art store while I was there. You just may not have seen it. It usually comes in tubes that are fairly small, almost looks like watercolour tubes. And always my pleasure to help any way I can.

I have no doubt it is available. I'm not stranger to occasionally missing a thing or two! lol! I actually was in Micheal's the other day and I found a whole set of gouache. Is that the same thing? Anyway, I didn't buy it b/c I was just looking for white, but I'll try somewhere else.

Yep, that's the stuff. It comes in all colours, and I have heard Michael's is the best for art supplies. I SO wanted to visit one while I was there but I missed out. Next time for sure!!

Not really, just one major one that is REALLY expensive. So I tend to do the online thing now. Which isn't too bad although the shipping is killer!

Oh man, I hate to hear you have difficulties getting your supplies. I know shipping is terrible! I've got a set of Prismacolor pencils and I would like to complete the set an get the ones I don't have, but I've got to order them online and I'm shuddering a the thought of shipping for that! Which websites do you shop on?
