"My what big eyes you have"I have always been connected to the Little Red Riding Hood story. I think for the most part, all girls can relate even if at the time, they aren't sure why. It is such a complicated story and yet on the surface it is but a trifle....a little girl, hounded by a wolf as she tries to find safe passage to her grandmothers house.
On a deeper level, it is one of the most complex coming of age stories. Red is on the precipice of becoming a woman, her grandmother is the protector of her innocence, the red cape is a metaphor for her sexual awakening and the wolf is the man who will invariably be her first.
Red is what we all were at that age, scared, excited, curious, drawn to danger, and the path we took or the wolf we chose, would shape us for the rest of our lives.
So the question always remains. Who is Red once innocence is lost?

Awesome work here hon!!! I'm in love with this piece. I really adore how you made Red look both innocent and seductive at the same time. Your take on the wolf is really great too. It's refreshing that you didn't go with the classic look, where the wolf is off in the shadows with teeth bared and all that. It looks more like he's protective instead of threatening! Very very nice!

I wanted the wolf to be the one that was seduced and now he is her prey and protector. Innocence lost and all that

I think you created that effect nicely. The wolf does look a bit timid. In fact, I think they both have an air of being unsure, which is how that usually happens. I can definitely see that she is seducing him, though she may not even fully realize it herself? Hmmmm....

He initially seduced her, while she was timid and curious, but now the tables have turned, she is starting to realise her own power as a woman. I love Red Riding Hood.
