I never articulated the reason for Flora's environmentalism. To dash her most misleading traits, which I failed to dispel owing to my complacency, Flora's love of nature isn't because she's some sort of "hippie." Flora loves nature because it gives her a sense of place and belonging, and inculcates within her a sense of the mystical and the sublime. She grew up among eighty-foot yellow pines and wild muscadine vines, and listened to campfire stories that directly related to the woods and the glades and the marshes. Put more directly, Flora loves HER environment because she's a part of it.

Flora's trading in her shorts for jeans and her tee for flannel; she unabashedly loves country - Travis Tritt's her favorite; she works in the Garden and Outdoor center of her local hardware store and graduated high-school a year back. Flora's in no rush to get a career, though. The woods are her identity, and she celebrates them in both forage and in art.

A lot of Flora's character is getting changed up considerably. If it helps, consider this a transition of age. She'll be 20 in any further pictures. That being said, some changes are being made to the ages of my other characters, although their personalities will NOT change in the same manner as Flora's will. Harriet and Estelle are both situated between 18 and 19, finishing high school, while Persimmon will join Flora at 20. I hope this reintroduction is not too jarring. This is the Flora I've always wanted, and as plain as the picture may seem, this is the art I've wanted from myself.
