Nice effort, though a thylacine has small round ears, not pointed ones like a wolf.
I love the properly shaped snout and paw pads!

I am aware of that. This is also a commission for someones character and is drawn how their ref sheet shows or states. They are fantasy creatures. People hybridize or change features to how they prefer them all the time. XD (Their ref sheet states long pointed ears, specifically. SO!)

It also normally not a thing to do, to give critique when someone hasn't stated they want it. This is a finished commission, approved by the client. Not going to go back and change anything when the client wants it this way XD There is a reason why things were drawn as they were.

Glad you like the rest of the image though! I hope to draw more Thylacines in the future as they are very neat creatures.

If it was a prefect world everyone would be open to constructive criticism, artists would be open to doing things differently and learning new things other than getting offended when someone points something out.
You should specify that the character is a thylacine cross, so tassy tiger enthusiasts don't point these things out

I didn't say i wasn't open for it (on the contrary, i quite enjoy crits on pictures that i have the option to fiddle with and change *when i have asked specifically for them.*), just that this is a commission in which its the clients design and their final call. Its not -wrong-, its a fantasy creature. Anthro's are not real and the creator can do whatever they want. She is not a cross, and just because one aspect isn't to your liking, doesn't make it wrong or that the character is incorrectly drawn.

Assuming that just because i drew it not to your liking(or exactly to the species) and didnt want the crit, makes me uneducated on the animal and unwilling to learn something new, is rude and asinine. I take pride in my work and did a lot of research to refresh my memory on the animal before i drew this image. On the flip side, I am also responsible for bringing peoples creations to life. That is my -job-. The client was happy with my work and that i read their ref sheet and made the ears how -they- wanted them. My job is not to cater to each individual persons whims on how they feel something should be drawn when its not their character or commission. XD Just because someone states they don't want the crit, doesn't mean they don't want to learn or that they are above critique. It simply means that on this piece, its not applicable or they go about crits in a different way. Its the simplest thing, to just ask first before giving it. (Some people also legit do art as a hobby and dont care for critique because its something fun they do, not to be 'perfect'.)

Just because you are an enthusiast doesn't excuse rudeness. You will garner a lot more respect if you ask before giving critique and before you assume someone doesn't know what they are doing or hasn't 'done their research'. You would get a lot better response if you simply asked if a person wanted the crits in the first place. its a common courtesy and not hard to do. XD

So good luck with that. : )
This will be the end of my conversation on this topic. Feel free to say whatever you want but i will not be looking or responding further as this conversation is rather pointless to be having. Have a nice day.
