2 years of improvement from his last ref from me: [link]

SO. New :iconZee.: ref!
He wanted to have his markings thickened up a bit and the colour slightly changed. : )
I owe him a lot so i do art for him now and then when he needs something. : ) He's been really amazing and has helped me out financially a lot (so yes, this is paid work. Don't worry commissioners!)

This is also part of a character bundle example i will be doing in the future as well. : )

I see the character gained, in cartoony sense, a more superhero head-to-body proportions over the two years. That should flatter him.

I'm not really sure what you mean by super hero look. He thickened him up because he was a twig in the first reference and unrealistic. I made him more proportionate realistically in this one (using reference even since he's my BFF.) Though even with that thickening up, if he was more "super hero" looking, he would have a huge chest, little waist, and huge arms and legs (muscle wise) XD He has larger legs in this ref compared to the old one because he is a rabbit and a lot of their strength comes from their legs. (not to mention, big feet! XD ) But super hero, i'm not sure what you mean. (My style has become a little bit more western styled but no where near super hero/comic book styled. XD So I'm not sure what you mean. )

I mean. Superman: [link]
Maybe its the calf muscles? I dunno. XD But the proportions are definitely not standard western super hero style. XD

Oh, I see what you were after when putting more musle and proportions on him and they look good on him there. No disagreement here, no ma'am! What I meant was this - Cartoony charactes (with exception of some anime works) look good with heads disproportionally bigger to the rest of their bodies. Striving for real human proportions in cartoon characters or even exceeding them leaves them with huge bodies compared to their heads, just like the Superman picture you linked me, and is a trademark of superhero body build-up. Compared to Zee's older reference, this version with larger legs felt like striding in that direction, but it's true that perhaps I simply overlooked the fact that he is a rabbit.

I try to make my anthro's have some main traits from the animal as well. : ) Fennecs have huge out of proportion ears, rabbits have big legs and feet (so do kangaroos) and some animals have larger or smaller heads due to their muzzle size. If this was a canid, the head would look bigger because of the muzzle length. : ) With a rabbit and his muzzle being more pudgy and short, i do see what you mean.
