Description
You were pushing against John in anger."WHY DID YOU TAKE ME!" to say you were angry would be a gross understatement, you were the image of death towering over the blue hooded male in front of you.
"______, chill." Dave tried to reason with you in your freak out mode, however you simply turned on him.
"Don't you DARE tell me to chill! You did this too! If he’s dead, it’s your fault as well!" turning to the shocked Strider.
"______.we were just trying to help." John whimpered.
You sat down burying your face into your arms, tears helplessly raking your body. You didn't feel Dave put a hand on your shoulder or John pull you into a hug. All you could think of is that dream, Eridan. It was going to kill you, you could just tell. With a shaky breath you leaned against John, still crying.
"H-hey it'll be alright we're going to get them. It'll be okay." John whispered trying to get you to calm down.
It was working but not as well as it would if the Aquarius was doing it. You pictured him here, instead of with that troll, he was here rubbing your back and burying his face in your neck. You slowly calmed down gripping to the familiar body of John. You nodded as he released you as you wiped away your tears.
Standing you heard a sound that made your blood run cold. You knew the subtle sounds of an arrow being knocked anywhere, the soft sliding of wood against wood as it was let loose. With a quick movement you yanked Dave to the ground the arrow burying itself in the tree behind him. You stood up pulling out a dagger and sliding behind a tree. You knew Dave had done the same and John was above the trees. This was an old and familiar stance for you three. You were used to fighting and hunting with them and doing it over the multiple years it was a reaction you couldn't fight. You listened for it, the sound of an arrow.
It was dead silence until the familiar push of air from John told you the direction where the arrow was from. You nodded to Strider, who returned as you ran across to his tree. You didn't stop running instead he went to his knees and propelled you into the air. A delicate flip into the air and you'd landed with a tree branch under your knees. Pain shot through your side but you ignored it knowing it was from the gash. You rolled up almost missing the limb before you desperately grabbed on letting out of a relieved sigh. You balanced yourself after a few moments before looking to see another tree limb, taking a bit of a breath you leapt across. You lost your balance for a moment, nearly falling, before righting yourself and following the way the wind blew before you looked down on a blue blood. His arrow still knocked looking for the three of you. He was going to be sorely disappointed. You held up you hand and pointed down. John nodded and picked up Dave all of you resting in the tree. You pulled out your dagger, John had his hands out and Dave was tensed to jump on the troll. Not a word was said as you flew down, John putting a heavy amount of wind behind the dagger that cut into the blue bloods shoulder.
Now it was a flurry of movements as Dave, John and you tried to wrestle the blue blood down. It wasn't working very well. He'd slapped John out of the sky making him eat insects of in dirt, you were tossed against a tree in the process but landed next to his weapon. Dave was shoved against a tree, the blue blood was about to deliver a blow but you'd landed next to his bow. With a quick motion you had an arrow knocked at his head. He froze feeling the killing intent in your mind.
"Put. Him. Down." You growled, he tensed.
He didn't let go only looked back at you, with a small expression that you couldn't read.
"You wouldn't." his voice was a deep and gravelly hoarse whisper, however it was if he was just speaking as loudly as you would.
"oh?" you let the bow go through his leg right under his knee.
The blue blood dropped, Dave and ended up in a kneeling position as you nocked another arrow. He looked up to feel the metal of the arrow tip against his forehead. He could see the almost dead look you wore and the ease you held the bow. He couldn't help feel some intimidation at the sight.
"Now I have a few questions and you should give me the answers or the next one is through your shoulder." Your eyes narrowed.
~~~
Eridan let out a small whimper as the cart hit against a large whole. It made the rope bite into his skin and wounds, it was a surprise he hadn't bled out yet. At the same time he knew that the she troll wouldn't let him die. She was all too excited about her reward. A small tug on his pants caused him to glance over. The same kid that had first talked to him was smiling weakly.
"Hi." The voice was soft and innocent.
He let out a pained smile, "Wwhat’s up kid?"
~~~
"Why is he helping us?" Dave asked as you put the bow and new set of arrows on your back.
"because I promised to keep him from getting his head chopped off and I patched his leg up." You said, as a hand rested softly on your shoulder.
You looked to see the troll looking nervous, "I suppose it is custom to thank someone for your pity."
"It's not pity, besides it's a good plan." You spoke, Dave holding his wrist out.
"Good plan, sure lets just go into the belly of the beast. What are you going to just walk up to this highblood and be like oh sorry to ruin your day just came here for my family and my boyfriend of a troll. We’ll just be leaving have a wonderful day. Nice _____." He scoffed as heavy irons were clasped around his wrist.
"Hey I'm a genius at these things." You smiled while John laughed at Dave's situation.
"Why do I have to do this? Why not John? This is so not cool ______." He spoke, silently pleading with you not to make him do this.
"Because the Cool Kid always sacrifices for the greater good?" you offered, walking behind the troll.
Dave grumbled and huffed but didn’t complain anymore about it. You weren’t very far behind the wagon, it was scarily close. You had to fight the constant urge to run in there and grab Eridan. She had him strangled to the metal with a small boy talking to him. He was in absolute pain, that was easy to see and his eyes, those amethyst eyes looked as if he was already dead. You were so caught up in trying not to run over there you didn't notice you had crossed into the back gates of a castle before your bare feet touched marble. You felt your heart pick up at the feel of the stone. The Grand Highblood.
You were about to go into this place of death…needless to say you were thankful for the ability to keep your nerves calm. You watched as the blue blood had Dave and took him to the she troll. She was livid and went to raise her hand to bring it down on the troll but stopped midway and let out a sigh just grabbing the chain and walking away. The blue blood slipped quietly away nodding to the pillar you and John hid behind. You gave a nod and a smile as a thank you before he disappeared.
"So now we just walk in there?" John asked still confused.
"Nope, the highblood uses humans as servants along with low bloods or for food right. Well the way I see it is that if we can get to the kitchens and slip into the dungeon and break them out, take them out little by little still the wagon and get out of here." You smiled, slipping closer to the wall.
Eridan was pulled off of the bars, Dave helped him stand.
"Wwhat are you doin here?" he questioned leaning on the Strider.
"Because your girlfriend is out of her mind and likes you way too much, besides the fact she has a plan to get us all out. Here’s whats going to happen you’re going to…" He spoke walking behind the she troll.
You ran behind them slipping into the kitchens, picking up an apron. Your clothes were mucked up so it wasn't that hard to fit in. You slid your bow hiding it in your shirt, before grabbing a plate and slipping it into your hands. You kept your head bowed and your eyes flicking around, John floating close to the ceiling. You walked to the main hall, the Grand Highblood was sitting on the throne. You felt a shiver run up your spine, he was terrifying and you honestly felt your heart stop for a moment. The she troll walked in.
The others were forced to kneel as the she troll brought her face merely a foot from the marble floor.
"what is THIS MOTHERFUCKING FOR?" everyone flinched save for the troll knealing before him.
"fOr YOU mY lOrd. A gIft, thE hUmAns And thIs, “You saw as Dave lightly pushed Karkat next to the she-troll ,posing as a servant, “ DUAlscAr’s sOn…A vAlUblE AssEt fOr lEAvErAgE.”
‘Duascar!? Dualscar was Eridan’s father?!”
"MOTHERFUCKING MIRACLES." that was all the acceptance she needed, she pushed him in front of the larger troll, the Grand Highblood thought proper punishment was in right, she raised her hand.
You reacted without thinking, the arrow flew through the bend of her wrist, the metal sides went from smooth to sharp spikes, the inhuman scream shook the walls. The morning star hit the floor next to Karkat’s head missing his horns by just a small bit and you froze. Everyone had turned to see you with the bow.
'Damn it, well there bang goes that plan…’

Just thought I'd let you know, you used Karkat instead of Eridan a couple times at the end, but otherwise great job!
