Lol I just find it weird that Odin is technically riding his own 'grandchild' into battle and stuff XD

The story with Sleipnir involves a version of the Norse Mythology that isn't used in Marvel's Thor, otherwise that would mean Odin would go around dressing as women doing witchcraft while missing one eye, having intercourse with all sorts of women including a giantess, and Loki himself would have 6 children, one of them being the Queen of the netherworld.
This also means a story where Loki is neither Odin's son, nor an adopted son. Thor was just strolling around in giant territory one day and found Loki and they became bros for life. And the whole Ragnarok business was because despite all the magical treasures and services Loki has given to the gods they never gave Loki's children a chance and threw them out because they were prophesized to end the world. ALL THE WHILE they tried to do everything to negate the prophecy that said Odin's son, Baldur, the most beloved of all beings (even loved by frostgiants), was to be murdered. If they weren't going to give Fenrir and Jormungandr a chance they shouldn't have given Baldur any. No wonder Loki was pissed.
I don't like how Marvel made Loki a megalomaniac with a sore inferiority complex. At least even then he is the only character in that story that can stand by himself despite boring old straight-laced Thor that always has to play off of others ridiculing him for being a stupidly straight man that does all the brawnwork.

I meant if the tale happened in the film, since they're from Marvel's Thor. I made the comment as there's a scene in the movie where Odin is on Sleipnir, it's when he goes to help Thor and the others when their fighting the frost giants. He appears to be riding Sleipnir there, I knew Sleipnir was the child of Loki and found it funny that Odin was riding his so called son's (since at the time it wasn't revealed Loki was adopted) child into battle. Though in Marvel's Thor it's never explained.
My views on Marvel: I didn't like some aspects of Loki's character in Marvel's Thor, such as the inferiority complex you mentioned but I can kind of understand him, he was told he could be king, Odin says 'One day one of you will be king' but then he's always stuck in Thor's shadow, he want's to get out from it and stand proud. In a way he's always trying to prove himself but it's nearly always ignored, Sif and the warriors three seemed to always have a distrust and Odin was always going to make Thor king despite Loki having the brains to think through actions etc. If that doesn't make you a little twisted then I'd be surprised. He seemed to always be 'alone' and I don't mean he was locked away somewhere but he could probably FEEL the distance between him and others, even if he didn't know why.

Ack, I just remembered an error... in the "original" mythology, THOR wasn't the one who was bros4lyfe with Loki. It was ODIN. Being bros with the most powerful Aesir is why despite everyone would love to get their hands on his throat for all the times Loki joked around about them (this is ancient times, personal reputation is srs bsns -- recall how not even 2 full centuries ago dueling was considered a "gentlemanly" act to preserve dignity from an affront!), no one really could try to do him in until he went too far by intentionally indirectly being responsible for Baldur's murder.
In the OLD version of the mythology its interesting how Thor or his counterpart deity was the major god among commonfolk, and the much isolated noblemen worshiped Odin as the main and most powerful god. In time, the ruling class strengthened control over the people, and sought to relegate Thor to be one of lesser class than Odin, so they forced his pedigree into Odin's family tree as a son.

"He seemed to always be 'alone' and I don't mean he was locked away somewhere but he could probably FEEL the distance between him and others, even if he didn't know why." That hit the mark. You explained his situation very well. I guess it never was about being crowned, rather proving oneself and getting others' acknowledgment. Being crowned king just would make his worth much more irrefutable by spiteful naysayers. And all his "attempts" to do this and failing just pushed him back to a corner, something that may have been much less to him has become the greatest thing on his mind in time.
Plus in the comics iirc Loki knows he is a frostgiant already and discusses this with Odin. I don't know if it was publicknowledge tho.

According to Northen mythology, Loki was pregnant with 8legged horse called Sleipnir. When he gave birth to him, he gave him as a gift to odin.

So THAT'S where adorable six-legged magic ponies come from! Although I feel a bit bad for Loki, he clearly is one of those moms who's got trouble dealing with all the extra stuff you have to do to make sure your baby is happy and healthy.
I love Sleipnir, he's so adorable, especially with his teeny little pink pacifier and his silly frilled diapers XD Which begs the question, did Loki have to use his magic to make specially-made diapers to accomodate all of Sleipnir's extra legs?
Also, I love Thor's ridiculously happily confused face, all "Eh? What happened?" And Odin...no words. He's completely speechless XD
Also...wouldn't 'the talk" be kind of useless now? He already had a cute little pony baby...

He did yes, though this comic isn't all canon as admitted by the artist. Besides... it really could've looked like this in the mythology when the gods found out about Sleipnir first XD

And Loki awkwardly presents the baby to him and says "Here you go dad. Gift from me. K bye" XD

Nah, Loki just screwed the horse (while in the form of a mare) so the gods could get out of paying a giant to build their walls (the price was the goddess Freya and the sun and the moon).
