I think TFA had a more interesting plot, but Prince's characters were overall more interesting

i can agree with that

To me i think the major card that TFA had over prime was just the other all writing and directing that the show had was more my style
Prime was very serious and dramatic all the time, which is good in some cases
but the balance of stressfull action and calmer more comedy centric parts was too unbalance.
i was tense most of the time i was watching Prime and that wasnt a great feeling.

eventually i got into the show and wanted to watch to see what happened to the characters
but initially i almost didnt watch passed the 3rd episode just because it didnt have that laugh factor
that would make me want more.
I watch cartoons because they make me happy
and prime just dropped the ball in that area for quite a while
where TFA had it in the bag.

But i can also see where thats largely subjective to the individual viewer.

You didnt get to know any of the autobots in those films
and the one they did take time on didnt have a voice box XP

Bumblebee was always my favorite transformer. Mute characters are fun because they are so much more expressive then other characters. Bay somehow screwed that up as well

i agree, they handled bumble bee's mute-ness in prime so much better than in bay's movies.
He was much more expressive and relatable.
i still wish i knew why raff could understand him tho lol

i disagree that miko is a "dumb character"
I thought she was really relatable and well thought out
i took what you see as a lack of "self preservation skills" as raw bravery and strength.
she didnt have a lot to lose and did her part as a member of team prime.
i felt she was much more valuable to the team than raf or jack.

but i am not trying to say that your opinion is invalid.
she must just not appeal to your interests//

I guess I can kinda see where you're coming from, though I think in the early days Jack was doing most of the useful things (especially in the episode Rock Bottom where he rescues... well, everybody trapped under the rubble). With Miko, I kept getting annoyed at her because she'd do stupid stuff like run into active combat zones and almost get everyone killed, especially in season 1, or the episode Shadowzone where the plot is literally "Miko runs into the ground bridge despite being told not to, and the entire rest of the human cast almost dies for no reason other than her stupid move." She even has the gall to get mad at the other kids, despite literally the entire situation being her fault. I get that her recklessness and personality is supposed to be fun and engaging, but I found her annoying. Granted she got better later on, kind of, but I still didn't like her as a character, just personally.
As for that invincible armour thing, well Jack was demonstrating creativity, original and quick thinking (like destroying Airachnid's ship with his fire starting kit) and use of the drill to escape and save people, and other times like that. Raph demonstrated a lot of knowledge of how to use and fix tech over the series, while Miko demonstrated none of these skills and just randomly is the one who ends up with the armour. Either one of the other two humans would make more sense to give an invincible armour instead of her.
It's cool if you did though, we all like/dislike different characters for different reasons, and having different perspectives on it is good.

yeah i dunno i guess i see where your coming from i just kind of agreed with her that everyone made a bigger deal out of it than they should have
she had the situation under control until the other kids came to "rescue" her and caused a big scene.
I agree that Jack was pretty brave in certain situations as well, but i still feel he did less for the team

That's fine, and I'm glad we could disagree while still being nice to each other. Too often debates where two people have opposing views seem inevitably to get personal and frustrating, but you seem nice ^u^
