Thank you. I have to draw my friend a drawing version of her and she wants the hair curled and all I can do is wavy hair. I always had trouble drawing curls. >_<

these are not 'curls'. they are straight bits of hair that have been spun around her fingers after a shower. and her hair seems to levitate in almost every picture of her. i have hair that is about as long as hers, about the same colour, and a bit curly at the ends, and it does not look like this at all.

Hair such as the one on this tutorial exist, and not necessarily the way you explain them. Besides, this tutorial was not meant for general acknowlegement of ALL curly hair in the world, but just for this character's one
If it is not what you're not looking for for your own drawings, I advice to check some DA groups specialized in tutorials where you'll find more variety ^^

If you mean the base doll, I trust it is normal as the base is made in Eiichiro Oda style while Hiro Mashima was the apprentice of Oda for a long time before releasing Fairy Tail with his own approach of the style.
