1. Ichigo protects her = she can't protect herself/he protects everyone he calls friend so big whoop
2. Swore to protect her = kind of a boring reason, since, again, he protects everyone
3. Furious on her pain = I'd be pissed too if someone hurt my friend/he's pissed when Rukia, Chad, and Ishida get hurt too
4. The death part = yeah, extreme, I'll give you that. But with how it was handled, I feel like anyone could have gotten hurt and would have had the same reaction. But still, better point than the others.
5. Honoring her will = that's always been a bit of bullcrap for me, kinda like an asspull/rule of cool moment just to show something entertaining happen. Just instant immunity to Grimm's attack because she screamed 'you can do it?' Power of Friendship power boost is annoying (looking at you, Fairy Tail). And it's not really 'honoring.' Just acknowledging she talked.
6. Asking if she's okay = yeah, asking if someone's okay is such a big deal...
7. Cheering her up = by being a hero...yeah, that's something to be depressed by...
8. Repeatedly willing to walk her home = I see only once. And that's monumental, because...?
9. Trusting her with his defense = that would be like Vegeta trusting Yamcha with having his back in a fight against Frieza. That moment was pure nonsense. She is the weakest character. Yammy touched her shield with a finger and it shattered. Not a smart move when going up against a literal god, at that point.
10. Thanking her = thanking people...that's a sign for people to believe romance exists...my generation sucks

My opinion is that almost every female character in Bleach is more interesting and enjoyable to see on paper than Orihime. She just doesn't fit the world that Bleach upholds. She is comedy relief with breasts and a forced love which doesn't add up.

Look, I get it. She has fans. And I admit, ORIHIME IS NOT A BAD PERSON. Or a bad character. She is...fine. Certainly not main character worthy. She is a character that would have been better to see in small parts and maybe have been a breakout character later on. But as it stands, Orihime has little to no combat ability (why she was allowed to go with Ichigo to a place which has a literal army of sword-wielding reapers of death who fight giant monsters, I will never know), her powers work conveniently for the plot and progressing things forward while rehashing the Rukia's Soul Society arc in Hueco Mundo, and her all-too chipper attitude is a sharp contrast to the dark past she otherwise has been noted to have.

She was entertaining in the first couple arcs. But then she had to have an entire arc made to her being rescued and being made more important than I could possibly care about. And I lost interest in her real fast.
