True, but he's got a surprisingly soft side if he's ever near dolphins. Β Heck, in the comics he respects Aquaman when he(Lobo) was told the Atlantean king was raised by dolphins. Β Lobo even said, "Aw, frag. Β Now I gotta be civil."
I knew I should've bought that comic issue of Green Lantern: The Animated Series where Lobo made a guest appearance and actually stopped to pet some space dolphins.

Lobo was awesome in Superman: The animated series espoides 'The main man part 1&2' and 'The warrior queen'.
I heard Lobo came back in 'Justic Leauge' in 'Hereafter' I watched both espoides. It's not as good as 'the main man part 1&2'.
