Fuck, I've fallen so in love with this series. It's pretty bad.
I didn't mean to, honest.
But I'm a sucker because it's everything I've always wanted in a game.
So... game fanart from me for a while. Mixed in with... whatever else I feel like drawing. I need to get it out of my system somehow!
I don't want to rant too much about my head-over-heals (albit very dissapointing) crush on Anders. But it's there. He's so hot. So I couldn't help but draw a pinup shot of him, at least. (more to come? oh yes.) Couldn't help but imagine him like this.
I was gonna put a warning on this piece, but come on, it's not THAT bad. (hurr)

Alister never appealed to me for some reason, but Anders....
I can't help it. I tried to stay away on the second play-through, because of the way he turns into a mess, but... but... mmn. No other NPC can compare. He gets me every time, too!

But it was really was awful, wasn't it? What happened. He was the only character in Dragon Age that I felt really attached with and fell into. ): He was so cute and passionate at the beginning of the game that I just couldn't help myself (om nom nom Anders nom om nom). But near the end, there, I felt like he slapped me in the face xD. And then I realized that he just... wasn't Anders anymore, that he really was... risky and terrifying, like I'd been warned. He was Justice. It was sad to watch. Those are just my feelings on it. Even so, now that I know I can rivalmance him, I think I just might anyway. Ohohoho.

But I'm almost afraid I won't do the writing of Dragon Age justice. It really is so well written (mostly, and I'm saying that as a fangirl).
Aw, I tried Alistair. I really did. But it was too weird, after playing as a guy and being best buddies with him. It felt like he was creepin' on me when I was a girl. Being friends with him seemed more right. xD
But for Anders... he just had it. I wanted to devour him from day one, even back in Awakening and double so in DA2. (WHICH MADE THE DISAPPOINTMENT ONLY THAT MUCH MORE UNBEARABLE HDJKFHSKCDA).
Although, I do get how some people could like Alister more. Because later in the game, Anders sort of turns into a 24/7 dick instead of just sometimes whining like one. ): And Alister may have been snippy, but he was always pretty leveled (cept for that one time. You know).

I know. A lot of other people think so, too, including me. He just... wasn't the same person as he was in origins. Due to a lot of factors. His writer was different, his voice actor was different, his appearance, his personality. Even though he seemed like the same kind-hearted, lovable Anders at the beginning, at the end there, he really lost himself...
