So, I didn't have internet for the last two days (I KNOW right?), so guess what game I played?If you guessed Ib, then you'd be right.
Luckily, I had it downloaded on my computer from before, but never got around to playing it until now! It was so fun~♫!
I WAS SO SAD WHEN I GOT THE BAD ENDING FIRST OTL
I had to go back and play it again immediately!
Seriously, I love Garry. OTL He's so sweet, and I have a thing for men in distress, oh bby. I love wholesome main characters! Plus, I love love love his design! It's so cool and instantly recognizable!
I google image-searched Garry for an extra ref picture -- and oh holy matrimony, the pictures of him are way too hot lllOTL I wish my Garry looked as hot as the other pictures of him.
I tried to make it a bit accurate to my impression of him when I played the game, though. What started as a simple sketch turned into this, ehe.
So, I've happily joined the bandwagon on being a fan of this game~ ^^
If you've never heard of Ib before, then I'll just say that it’s kind of a puzzle-solving game with horror elements! It’s really fun!

I'm not sure if I'm completely satisfied with the colors, but I did my best on my own. His hair was fun to draw, ehe.

I really like the dull-ish colors used here, it really fits with Garry's bleak-seeming yet kind outlook. ;u;
I also really like your knack for detail (especially on his hair, coat, and rose), your brushy coloring style really merges with the linework.
And his expression, too. It's mysterious. And a bit unsettling (in a good way) if I stare at it too long, but that's what makes me love this piece. =u=

I DID get the bad ending first OTL And even on my second time ;;;; HIS ROSE PETALS MADE A CRUNCHING NOISE AS THEY FELL OFF and even as he was dying he was smiling and I just don't know how to cope with him

My! You caught the details? I was going to scale it to lower resolution, but you make me really glad that I didn't do that. I thought I was maybe going overboard or wasn't doing enough with the colors - and I was also a bit afraid that the details would be lost with them... so I'm relieved to have a second opinion on the matter. I'm glad to hear that they come off right and even feel "artsy" x)
Hmm.... you made me stare at his expression to see what you mean! xD I thank you for that! It is kind of caught in a bad moment for him, huh? A bit frozen and unregistering. Maybe that's the face he made when he first pulled out his lighter in the pitch dark and saw what was around him, before he actually realized what had happened? You would think I would know what he was doing since I drew it, but it's pretty open for interpretation xD

Haha, I broke down when I had to do the part where Garry had to find the key from one of the dolls... I thought he would've been killed or something, but it's worse
he got hypnotificated. ;A;
i managed to slap him once pffft
buuut after some plays, i managed to score both the Ib All Alone ending and the one where Garry becomes a Forgotten Portrait... all in the span of 30 seconds
so many feels ;A;
And eep, I did? The details were just sitting right there, all them folds and lines and such ;u;
Everything looks so clear, no need to lower the resolution~
heck, i think that'd lower the detail instead

Actually, I was surprised when I found out that he could actually lose the doll hide-and seek game. Because after I was told to find the key, I literally found it in the first two seconds!! xDDDD And my mom who was sitting next to me, was kind of like, "Something tells me that should have been a lot harder then it was for you o_O" and I was like, "whelp! I guess Garry's lucky today!" 'cept he wasn't because I went back to see what would happen if I didn't win, too
When I found out he was hypnotificated, I was like,
"Hahaha! That's so.... sad, actually... that's really pretty sad..... D8"
It's funny if you slap him more then once because he becomes so indignant xD I mean, rightfully so, but I can just imagine him standing up with tears in his eyes, going, "OOOOOOOW! WHY--!? ;-;"

Is there one where Garry becomes a portrait!? ._o I'd be interested in seeing what it would look like. Is that where you leave the fake Garry in the mirror world and hop in the portrait? ( I didn't actually do that ._o it sounds horribly sad ;;; poor bby )
I think it would lower the details, too. But if the details actually made you look at it more, then mission accomplished! +A+
The game has many memorable moments that would be really fun to draw. Ehe, I accidentally seemed to have caught a moment. Very cool for me ^^
