OhgodHowl. I just bought the Studio Ghibli collection disk a couple days ago.
Going to watch Howl's Moving Castle non-stop for days.
Or weeks.Β

It's like, outline sketch, then smudges of colors, then suddenly identifiable shapes, face, etc.Β
I can never get it right between those two steps, adding color vaguely, then actually working it into features. :/
Amazing picture though, even if I could do it right, I could never produce something like this one turned out. One of my all-time favorites, for sure

Around the end, do you remove your lineart, or change it to a different color to blend with the piece? Also, I don't mean to be so pushy, but like, how many layers do you have for your lineart? Please keep the amazing artwork up!

Yesh, I remove my lineart. but afterwards I trace over parts where I want it to have a lineart effect. so around the feathers, part of the hair, under the chin etc.
I have one layer of sketchy lineart (which is removed later), one layer for color and one layer for texturingΒ

*Watches again and again to see every step*
So you do the sketch, coloring, lineart and final details

Yep, you got them right Β
I do the sketch --> rough color --> lineart (but I delete this afterwards) --> detailingΒ

Ummm this was made withΒ
Photoshop CS6- I favor this program bcz there is a lot ofΒ sweetΒ editing tools XDD
I sometimes use SAI~ It's similar to CS6 but it's way user friendlyΒ
Corel Painter~ I don't use it often, there are a lot of brushes to chose from..but its too complicated for me ;u;Β
