cretoxyrhina doesnt fit in the requirements to be on this list, the shark has to be over 7 metres long, at least 7,5metres, cretoxyrhinas far as I know wasnt that big. I´ve heard that cardabiodon is rumouured to be 9 metres long but I couldnt find any source material for that conclusion.

The 9m Cardabiodon is based on undescribed, unpublished yet very large centra (145 mm in diameter).

There are also isolated elements suggesting Cretoxyrhina at lenghts approaching 9 m. The individuals living off shore were larger than those in the Western Interior Seaway.

Can I have a whale shark for scale?

Awesome, but you missed Cardabiodon which was also huge! (apparently in the 9-10 meter range I've been told!)

was it really that big? Everywhere i read about it it was depicted as the same size as cretoxyrhina, around 6-7 metres, which is why I left it out here

it grew bigger apparently- would've been a serious competitor/threat to Kronosaurus D:

Cardabiodon was also probably stockier than the white shark at the same length. Indeed, it provided competition to Kronosaurus.

You are welcome. Considering I found out about most of these through here, it's only fair to contribute (need to start drawing a lot more often...and finish that predatory pterosaur series)

For the record, Leptostyrax is part of the Eoptolamnidae, which is very close to sand tigers. (learned that from Hondarinundu and Plos One journals.)

What a project this was and quite a few awesome giant shark species I've never heard about before your series brought them to life. For that I added all of the giant sharks plus this chart to the Prehistory: A Traveler's Guide fanclub and all I'm awaiting on is your approval to add them to the group.
