A little ray of sunshine, Izumi’s bubbly personality, eternal optimism, and adorable innocence belie her true fighting ability and strength. Izzie is a dynamo; compact, but she packs a lot of power. Trained in a myriad of martial arts disciplines, Izzie uses her delicate appearance as a method of surprise against her adversaries.

Also, though she can easily assume the role of the naïve ingenue, Izzie is exceptionally intuitive. She seems to possess the ability to discern the truth from false upon hearing a lie, and has an uncanny knack for knowing certain secrets (hiding places, out of place items, minute details, etc.) before anyone even notices that something is amiss.

Izumi loves nature and children, and can usually be found in quaint little parks in her downtime.

NOTE: Izzie speaks fluent Japanese, so she and Blaire often use this common language to talk about the guys right in front of them, usually concerning something humorous. Izzie’s past is a bit of a mystery as no one is quite sure what she did before joining the organization.

Izzie pilots WarpSpeed 4: a sporty mech based on a formula 1 racecar. Second to Warpspeed 3 in speed, it is the fastest land vehicle.

Name: Colton Galen “Colt” Nobel

Occupation: Professional Athlete (Swimmer)

Colt Nobel comes from a very intellectual family, but his interests are more athletic than academic. However, he lives up to his family’s standards of excellence in his sport of interest: swimming. Colt loves the water, perhaps because of all of the time he spent in or around it as a child. Colton grew up with dreams of being like his favorite sports stars and hoped one day to compete in competition just as they did. And he definitely got his chance.

Colton, at the age of 14, was one of the youngest athletes ever to compete in the Pan-Global Games, swimming against competition that, on shear speculation alone, should have been leaps and bounds beyond his capabilities. But Colton proved his naysayers wrong when he took home the Silver Medal that year. For years after that, he competed and placed in the Pan-Global Games, taking home his first Gold Medal when he was 18 years old. An unexpected head injury from a diving accident caused him to sit out the season, making him ineligible to compete in the upcoming games. He decided to make the most of his downtime and grew out his dreads.

Unlike his older sister, Colton is quite personable and proclaims himself to be an open book. He has no problem expressing himself, whether it be vocally or physically… Speaking of, Colton has an ideal swimmer’s build: that classic, masculine “V” body shape, toned and taught muscles, and highly impressive stamina.

Again, unlike his sister, Colton has no trouble chatting up potential paramours and is a bit of a playboy, though he is an honest romantic at heart (a lot like Pokémon‘s Brock, Colt usually always has a different crush).

NOTE: Though he doesn’t act it, Colton is nearly as much of a genius as his older sister, Blaire. For some reason, he appears to be somewhat embarrassed by his intellect.

Colton is pansexual.

Colton pilots WarpSpeed 2: a submarine-like mech which can also fly (but very slowly). It is second to Warpspeed 1 in armory and is equipped with formidable weaponry.

Name: Osvaldo Reynaldo "Oz” Mendieta Olivarez
Age: 21
Occupation: Firefighter

“Young” and “brash” are two adjectives that could accurately describe Osvaldo“Oz” Olivarez…but, then again, so could “largehearted” and “kind”. Though he is occasionally foolhardy, Oz has what it takes to be a true leader…if only he could believe in himself.

He was chosen to be a Ranger after a rather rash decision on his part resulted in the rescue of a small child trapped on the 16th floor of a burning building. Without aide of a ladder, he tore into the inferno and brought the child to safety, delivered into the arms of his mother.

Oz has trouble with following rules and has quite a rebellious spirit, despite usually doing what’s expected of him. The only time his rebel side shows itself is when he is asked to do something he doesn’t think is morally right. He will flatly refuse to do anything he doesn’t agree with.

Of all of the Rangers, he is the most physically strong, followed by teammates Colt, Blaire and Topher.

NOTE: Oz seems to be particularly fond of Izzie, though it’s not certain yet whether this is on a purely platonic level or not.

Oz pilots the WarpSpeed 1: a firefighting mech which also happens to be the most heavily armored of the five core Rangers' Zords.

Name: Christopher Aaron “Topher” Prewitt
Age: 23
Occupation: Aeronautics Engineer/ Pilot

Army and Naval brat, Topher Prewitt grew up around airplanes and jets and has always been fascinated by them…so much in fact, that he wanted to grow up to build and fly them.

And that’s exactly what he did.

One of the youngest and brightest in the field, Topher secured an impressive position within a federally funded defense organization known as Lightspeed in the city of Mariner Bluff, the sister city of Mariner Bay-- which, years ago, had been under siege by demonic forces of darkness.

Topher is witty and clever and loves to toss around punny quips. In battle, he doses out the sass with generous measures of sarcasm and silliness. He is a genuine and kindhearted guy who enjoys being in the company of good friends. A city-boy at heart, he does feel out of place, sometimes, in the wild, though he has had training to deal with such scenarios.

Topher isn’t as physically impressive as his fellow male teammates Osvaldo and Colt, but he definitely isn’t out of shape. His body is more svelte than buff; very lean with light corded musculature.

Topher and Blaire are the most technical-savvy of the team.

NOTE: Topher wears prescription glasses, but he doesn’t always wear them. When he doesn’t wear his glasses, then he has his contacts in. Without these visual aids, his vision is terribly poor, comparable to that of Velma of Scooby-Doo.

Topher also seems to be developing a strong attraction towards teammate, Blaire, though he is still too shy to approach her to figure out if a relationship might be a possibility.

Topher’s hair isn’t nearly as processed as it appears. Half of his style comes from working around his naturally tousled bed-head and slightly taming it with a dime-sized drop of gel.

Topher pilots WarpSpeed 3: an airborne, jet-like mech with great speed and formidable fire-power.

Name: Blaire Brigitte Nobel
Age: 22
Occupation: Nurse/ EMT/Translator/Linguistics Expert

Mensa member, certified genius, registered nurse and all around staggeringly brilliant young woman, Blaire Nobel might very well be one of the most versatile Rangers in history. The daughter of a NASADA rocket scientist and a biochemist, Blaire and her younger brother Colton were raised in an environment that not only encouraged but fostered educational growth. As a result, Blaire’s extreme intelligence was honed at a very young age. Erudite, astute, and very meticulous and methodical in her modes of thought, Blaire’s mind allows her to be the queen of multitasking. She can do complicated algebraic equations in her head while running her daily laps. She can read Tolstoy whilst eating breakfast. She sings ariettas in the shower.

Not only is her mind a fine-tuned machine, but her body is also at the peak of performance. She is quite fit, toned and defined (yet still quite lean), and has disciplined herself to eat only healthy foods. To add to her absurdly brilliant mind, it should be noted that she speaks at least 12 different languages fluently-- among those: French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, German, Arabic, and Mandarin Chinese.

With all of this brainpower, one might expect her to be a no-nonsense, all-business type of woman…which, quite honestly, she usually is…But there are moments when she lets her polished shield lower to allow special few people into her truest heart. She’s never really had a romantic relationship with anyone, so all of her interactions with attractive members of the opposite sex is usually awkward at best.

Her background is largely in the medical field and linguistics, because she feels that those are the most worthwhile of her many areas of expertise.

NOTE: Blaire is the official second-in-command who leads in Osvaldo's absence, although she usually gives orders in his presence as well. Her brother’s personal nickname for her is “Bee-Bee”, sometimes just shortened to Bee.

Blaire is what I'd like to call a Self-Aware Mary Sue. She realizes how absurdly 'impressive' she is and is actually rather self-conscious about appearing as some sort of robot.

Blaire pilots the WarpSpeed 5: an ambulance-like rescue mech equipped with it's own shielding technology.
