There is no recursive self similarity. At first glance it might be regarded at the first iteration of a Sierpinsky triangle. But given the block structure of this Penrose triangle, I don't see how further iterations are possible.
There seems to be a belief that anything made with Apophysis is a fractal. This isn't a fractal.
