This is an actual drawing of one of the statues from a cemetery in Staglieno, Italy. I'm not sure what's the actual name of the statue, but I know it's from italy. I saw it on pinterest while looking for sad photos ect.
It's not my favorite, but it was fun. I couldn't find a marker or fine liner that would be too thick, or too thin. I did find this one V sign marker from pilot I think, but it dried up on me. Then I found this ancient Calligraphy marker in my drawer, and I was like, well I don't have much choice anymore. And that's when I discovered that those markers are actually incredible because of the line variation you can get. So yeah, it was a neat discovery. The eyes are very shaded on the actual photo, but I was too scared to go back in to shade it with line hatching. so I just shaded it with a regular black pencil. not a charcoal one, like a black coloring pencil.

and there are letters on the cross she holds, but I was pretty sure it would have looked like regular hatching. I couldn't see any other approach that would still fit the drawing. so yeah, the eye shadow is pencil.
