Did you fill in the sweatshirt with white, by using the Fill Tool or by coloring inside it with the Paintbrush?

Ok. Then did you convert it into a Movie Clip?
And if you did, was your peice of clothing onto a new layer, over the base?

Okay.
So color it in. In yellow, or whatever.
To do that is,after you've already made into a Movie Clip, double click your sweat shirt (Now you're "inside" your movie clip} and color it in. Then go back out, by clicking 'Scene 1', near your timeline.

the codes don't work I really don't know what the problem is.
the code is added good (good layer, good written)
and it still says
**Error** Scene=Scene 1, layer=Layer 31, frame=1:Line 1: Mouse events are permitted only for button instances
on (press) {
**Error** Scene=Scene 1, layer=Layer 31, frame=1:Line 4: Mouse events are permitted only for button instances
on (release) {

when you make a new project, make sure you choose actionscript 2.0 and not actionscript 3.0

I only see actions and a place where I can add the code
on (press) {
startDrag ("");
}
on (release) {
stopDrag ();
}

well you know how when you first upload flash, and a window thing pops up asking what you would like to do? it gives you a list of things.
Flash File (Actionscript 3.0)
Flash File(Actionascript 2.0)
Flash (mobile)
and so on...
Just click on the second flash file that says actionscript 2.0

what type of flash are you using. THATS THE FIRST THING U SHOULD KNOW! Because there are 9 versions of flash. if you are using flash 9 or 8 and is using action scirpt 2 use my code for the clothes. you dont have to make a new layer if you dont want to be organised i dont
oh and to put the code right click the object and click actions then paste
on (press) {
startDrag ("");
}
on (release) {
stopDrag ();
}

The third code you provided in your thing worked, the other two wouldn't paste.
I've given up on it. I'll just take the tutorial and mke a kickass avatar instead.
Thanks for the advice! *random hug&*

I followed every single direction in this and I think it did okay... but I think I did something wrong... I went to test movie and it showed up with my figure wearing a PAK and the pak was supposed to be in clothes.... a screen on the right popped up and said this
Scene=Scene 1, Layer=clothes, Frame=1: Line 2: on handlers may not nest within other on handlers
I tried clicking and moving the pak but no go.... maybe I shouldn't just touch and go with this like I normally do.....

This is a LOT more complicated than I thought it would be. The closest thing to flash I've ever done is with ratemydoodle and even that kinda sorta sucks. I'll give this a whirl and let ya know if it did/didn't work.

Um...
Paint.net isnt really an animation program but if you want to import a picture, you can do that on flash.
Buuut you should do this on flash.
