Here is the colored version of my lineart (link above). It's not...great but unfortunately I'm in a rush to get prints done so I can get as many ready as possible for Fanime. I think that the staute is ok...I've had a hard time finding the right textures and effects and this is so far the one I've been happiest with... I'm not at all happy with how Light/Kira and L have turned out. I think I haven't colored in so long I forgot how! >_<
Sad thing is they're really not hard but... I don't know. And background...well we won't even go thereAnyway I'm just glad to have this done for the most part and I can move on.

Love it Katrina! I've become a big fan of this anime. I don't come upon any 'good' DN fanart often so it's so great to see some.

Aww thank you! I am surprised there isn't as much death note fanart as I thought there'd be. There's still a lot but it's not as overrun as other anime. Made it hard for references lol

The statue is awesome!!! Very unique and original! May I suggest that if ans when you do a tutoreal, please do it on wings, cuz you're so good at it!

Thank you! haha you assume I know anything about wings! I am totally just "winging" it (haha ok that was a bad joke) but seriously I have no idea what I'm doing. I do need to learn how to draw different types of wings though.

I don't think it is bad! I still like the statue. It is a unique piece. Oh! What about lightening the lines of the statue so they aren't so predominate?

Hmmm I might try that. I was actually thinking for all the characters thickening the outter lines and keeping the inside lines thin?
