Description
Beta Raleni c is a habitable planet, orbited by two moons, that orbits a class-K main sequence star located on the periphery of a great nebula and sits within a main of stars known to astronomers as 'Raleni'. Beta Raleni c has an extremely dynamic, highly developed, tropical biosphere that is dominated by two competing clades of reptilian-like animals and anthropoid animals whose evolutionary arms race has resulted in their extreme diversification but has also heavily impeded the ability of the indigenous population to better expand their knowledge of the natural world and the development of more advanced pastoral societies.Beta Raleni c's inhabitants consist of moderately asymmetrical reptilian-like semi-humanoids with a conventional biochemistry and a population only in the hundreds of thousands. The indigenous of Beta Raleni c's greatest knowledge of science and technology extends into a knowledge of rubbing certain rocks together to produce a spark and set combustibles alight and rubbing down stones with sand and other stones to smooth the primary stone down and make fairly high-quality stone implements and weapons.
The indigenous' development of technology has been slow to near non-existent over the past millennia as life is a constant war with the native, saurian-esque monsters of Beta Raleni c. Beta Raleni c's thick, near acidic jungles choke any temperate arable land out of existence, and even the advent of fire has been little help to burn away the jungles, making sustained agriculture more work than it's worth. The most advanced agricultural developments the indigenous have made are the controlled conditioning and breeding of the few animals on Beta Raleni c that are neurologically and physically fit for domestication.
Beta Raleni c's population's religious and spiritual beliefs are dominantly focused on the appearance, orbit, and nature of the two moons that orbit their world, and the great vast red vault (their home nebula) that covers the sky depending on the inhabitant's position on Beta Raleni c's position, the planet's orbital, and its rotational position.
