Description
Painted this in about an hour and a half. I think that might be a record!Of course, I've been watching my Alice In Wonderland DVD all week, so some fan art was inevitable.
I looooooove this version of the Cheshire cat so much better! (But it was hard to find a character in that movie that I didn't like.)
Method: Acrylic on 11 x 14 inch canvas, color pencil, white charcoal pencil
Finished: June 2010

Your acrylic work is so good I'm still learning to paint with acrylics.

Wow.
You captured him perfectly.
Nice job on the fur. I always have a hard time with fur effects.

Thank you! I find it easier to make the effect when I start with a dark background color. (If the fur is lighter)

Wow, itΒ΄s wonderful, especially the eyes. The color reminds me on a Na`vi-cat.

Thank you! The eyes didn't get picked up to well in the transfer to the computer. They look better on the actual canvas.

Thank you! I am a bit amazed myself. I think it helps that I can use his "evaporating skills" as a way to be a little bit lazy on a whole entire picture.

Smile for the camera!
I'm watching that movie right now. It's pretty good so far. I like it better than the animated version.
Back to this pic, I think it looks awesome! You're very talented.

Cool! Yeah, I like the classic animated one, but this version is far superior. I love Tim Burton's style
