Description
This was made specifically for contest to create your own original stretching portrait. If you've been in one of the Haunted Mansions at a Disney Theme Park, you are probably familiar with the Stretching portraits in the elevator. I have actually tried to replicate a few of the original Marc Davis ones (I will finish all 4 someday):

The basic idea is a serene looking portrait on the top but when the elevator starts descending the bottom half of the portraits are revealed and you can see them for what they really are and how the subjects passed from their "mortal state".

This original one of mine depicts one of the unfortunate mortals of the mansion's past who loved to read her books by the fire. She was so immersed in her tales that she never bothered to tend to her long flowing locks and sat too close to the fire place one chilly winter's eve.......

This was done on a smaller scale ( 4.5 x 11 inches) and not on canvas, so I wasn't able to use my acrylics as skillfully as the other stretching portraits, which accounts for the style being slightly different from the others since I had to finish the details with color pencils over the acrylic.
