Thanks, and I'm glad you like the Mandarin Duck.  He may look happy in this picture, but I can assure you that he has an aggressive side.  It's hard being a little duck in a pond with big ones, and he often had to defend his turf against them.

It's a male, and the female Mandarin looks a lot like the female Wood Duck.  They are indeed beautiful ducks!
