It is.. Currently my most used lens.. Never had a chance to compare it to a 16-35/2.8 L, but way better than my previous 28-135 IS

I was about to get my hands on the 28-135, but lucky i didn't and i was about to get my hands on the sigma 12-24, but now i realized that L lens are better and the only L I could afford is 17-40mm ... Thanks for the info

If you need ultra-wide and don't need/want to upgrade to FF (1Ds, 5D), maybe EF-s 10-22/Sigma 10-20/Tokina 12-24 has better performace & quality over the dated Sigma 12-24 EX.. Its problem is edge sharpness.. I just keep it because it is a fullframe lens.. Maybe one day I can afford a 1DsMkII..

I am in awe of this photo. Everything just works so well together. The color tones, the pose, the makeup, the outfit, the model. EVERYTHING. Probably the best work I've seen in a while. It also has that great somewhat "dark" feel to it , but at the same time it's still soft and feminine. Great work!
