Description Getting closer to the finish line. As I was texturing this outfit, it occured to me that this could pass for a Mass Effect type of costume. Maybe I'll include a mat pose that hides those belts on the boots. Maybe some yellow trims, instead of red ones...Maybe it could look a little like a cerberus outfit...

Looks like a variant Trek costume with the colours you have chosen.

It does? I suppose that's good then.

It's great for me though. If this costume appeals to Trekkies, then I am very happy. I wasn't consciously trying to appeal to them, but I'm glad if they can use this costume.

Trekkies can use anything! As a Whovian I look askance at their promiscuity, whilst using everything cos the Whoniverse encompasses Eternity!

You familiar with Dr Who? Dr Who is set in a universe where they can travel in all time and space. Therefore every piece of costume ever created can be used in Dr Who where as The Star Trek universe is limited to one time period in one Galaxy across so far 3 parallel universes. Therefore I was extolling how we Whovians can use anything!

It was not a great joke! πŸ˜‰

Ah, I see.
I'm not really into Star Trek or Dr Who that much. I liked the movies with Picard and saw some episodes of the new Dr Who. I thought it was a bizarre series and didn't really watch it much.

Hehe. Yeah only last summer did I actually saw some episodes of the original Star Trek on netflix. I watched them mainly because I felt like there was a huge hole in my pop cultural understanding. I now understand why people like the show so much. At some point I have to watch some original Dr Who (I like the actor a lot).

This could pass for a Star Trek uniform as well, with a few texture tweaks and a comm badge.Β

I guess it could, but I can't make much minor tweaks at this stage any more.

Ah yes, no wonder it looked so familiar!! Definitely buying this one.

Hmmm, speaking of variations, there is the Miranda's Cerberus uniform, and also EDI's Alliance uniform version, oh my... Β Β

It definitely has a sleek, sci fi look to it. To me, it sort of has a pilot vibe. Regardless, I think it looks really cool.
