I appreciate your comments about the value of paint mixing and, yes, I've also found good results with oil pastels (see The Haven and The Woodsman in my gallery).
I hope I gain the patience to mix more thoroughly as, right now, I just want to get on with the piece!

Yeah, I was aiming for mood and space with these pieces and yes, there is something of a misty British morning feel about them!
