09 of 15 pictures as a late Christmas gift for my beloved merging the current 15 Starter Pokemon with Phoenix Wright characters.

The main character was due sooner or later but went through a variety of choices before it was settled on Mudkip, it could just have easily become a Cyndaquil or Oshawott but I felt Mudkip's cuteness matched Phoenix's general appeal as well as matched up well with a certain rival (although Mudkip's new found meme fame on the internet might have influenced things just a little), although the first to draw this was one of the last drawings to finish since it went through several drafts to get the pose right and Phoenix's features intact.

Hand drawn and inked then coloured and edited in Photoshop.
