Love Hina is one of the several animes in my collection that will never have to worry about being sold! Along with DearS, Onegai Teacher, Slayers, Tenchi (all the way up to just before GXP), and oh, about 20 others!

Well... the closest things to it that I've enjoyed are Kampfer and... one other one where a male lead gets genderbent almost immeditately, but permanantly in his case.

Ehhh, it is but it's pretty easy to overlook, I view that as a parody on the whole animal/stuffed toy sidekick thing that so many animes abuse, indeed I suspect that a lot of the show is a parody in some form or another, the type where it's clever enough that it makes it very hard to tell...

I have been meaning to look into that series, I just downloaded fan subs and it is quite a change from it's predecessor Maburaho.
Plenty of chances for laughs still though.
