For the first time since I first Purchased the Hexagon 2 software along with Daz Studio I can say I finally started to model something.It isn't finished by any means but here you can see the two main forms of my RWBYverse OC's Mechashift weapon.
Each individual serration in the blade is a link with a pyramid shaped spike on each side intended to puncture and rend through whatever they come in contact with. Each link is connected, not yet but will be, to the others by coiled chains that allow the blade to triple in length in an instant.
Three of the four blocks on the rim of the small shield slide together to form the larger form's counterweight. They are all hollow boxes filled with lead shot to act like dead blow hammers and cut down on the recoil from sudden stops.
The shield has motors and cogs in it that can rotate the blade and counterweight in a full circle 4 times in a second, or extend and retract the blade twice in the same time.
Now I just need to get everything rigged so it can actually move
Kari and the medieval two handed sword are hanging around to help give a size reference ^_~
