I've been playing around with HDR in the sense to get the better exposure without having an image like this, do you mind sharing your post processing process on how to get this surreal effect? I have been using photomatrix pro and haven't been able to get something quite like this.
This is quite stunning, great job! The detail level is off the hook.

okay i did it with 3 JPG's (-2, 0, +2) and the settings in photomatix pro look like that: [link]
but its different from picture to picture... but yeah that picture was edited about almost with these settings and then edited the colors a bit in photoshop afterwards.

well actually i have no idea why it turned out that way, but i guess maybe your brightest shot wasn't bright enough? Or all together the pictures were too dark yeh.. sorry but i'm not really a professional

I figured it out, that photo of photomatrix really helped. I have a ton of noise in my image from the darkness I believe, going to reshoot it now. I can show you what I came up with in my first run, maybe you can see where I went wrong. Thanks again for the advice!

beautiful the chrome, the leather the detail all done very nicely..an otherwise ordinary subject elevated to something very interesting and unique
