I played FNAF 3 yesterday; I ended up dying and when I went back in, I got this picture. It made me jump a little because I wasn't expecting it. Those eyes creep me out and the colour makes him look more 'undead-like' than the original colour

They are. the game is meant to be realistic so a man with huge bulging eyes makes no sense, even if it's a decaying corpse. A human eye is 24 mm, which is Β a bit smaller then a large gumball, about 27 to 28 mm.
Springtrap has an endoskeleton. Purple Guy's only distinguishable feature is actually his face. His 'body" is actually all the pinkish parts in Springtrap. Purple guy was sliced up by the "SpringTrap" mechanism that snaps shut. His body is really nothing more then a few organs and pieces of meat and tendons. This means that Springtrap has eyes as well. (mostly because human eyes look NOTHING like that and because they do have that "white pinprick pupil" thing) Also they are a bit too high on the head to be Purple Guy's eyes, since Human eyes are exactly in the middle of the head.
What i think happened is that the eye part of the endoskeleton was impaled and crushed into Purple Guy's frontal lobe area.

Wel actually, when you see Scott's "The Pilgrims Progress," the eyes on him are actually very large. It's not the fact of it "meant to be realistic" rather than Scott's style of making humans.Β

As it turns out Scott is actually a bad modeler, especially with people. For example the only human thing in fnaf3 is Purple Guy's HEAD. look closely and you only see an endoskeleton and not a human one, as well as what looks like a bunch of sausages and taffy strung along the endoskeleton. I'm pretty sure spring locks could not completely disintegrate bone and turn organs that have different colors to sausages.
I don't blame him though, modeling is VERY, VERY hard. Thankfully Springtrap still looks really good anyway.Β
