Hey Bud, working on Deadpool now, should be done this weekend This is the one I would like to do after Deadpool, if you get a chance and have some time
The Deadpool flats are perfect, making it much faster and easier, should be able to knock that one out pretty fast now

No rush I will be be stuck at my desk all weekend but have tons of downtime, finishing up the Deadpool and another I started but haven't finished, working with the Inker on some details (kinda having a bit of creative differences but I get good feedback from him so that's helpful) Should be ready to start on Batman and Harley Q. next week, Monday
Also, let me know how you like being credited/listed. Some people use their full, real names and other just use some type of handle, so let me know, I just kinda linked you in the comments on the first one but I like to also put the credits at the bottom of the actual image so they can't get separated. I tend to post here as well as on Facebook and Twitter.

I'm easy. My name I guess. Simon Shih. It's fun having someone requesting flats over just randomly flatting things that people do or don't use.

Progress shot, starting to look like something I decided to go with a lower light scene, try and make it darker and more sinister. The other version I saw was pretty brightly lit with a lot of hot-spots so this should help mine look unique to that version

Told you. All I do is smash nuts at work. I fit it in between episodes of Constantine, Iron Fist and Powers.

I still think that Daredevil is the best show and cannot wait for the next season. I have a feeling Punisher will be excellent and I'm really interested in how The Defenders turn out.
So do you just color or do you draw also? I've been trying my hand at inking but probably have to start al over again since I've been away from home so long and I didn't want to lug my Wacom Tablet offshore.
I like to write, so one of my personal goals is to have a graphic novel written by the end of the year. It'll be a short story, but will make a good graphic novel. I can't draw (I can, but not willing to put in the practice to become good at it) but want to eventually have it drawn up.

Comic Art was kinda where I started as a kid but went in other directions as I got older, not because I don't love comics but I really don't have the chops as that type of artist. I can draw pretty well from source material, but not like some of these guys. I could Ink if I put my mind to it but not really interested in doing it and it would take a lot of practice to develop the right techniques for comic art... Love doing the colors, it's where I am strongest You can check out my half-done, late on updates, website at bleedingartist.com if you want to see the stuff I've done before. I would love to be part of a Graphic Novel at some point... I'm a big Warcraft Player so I may get ambitious at some point and try and do some art, ink and colors depicting my character in that game, maybe just a page spread or something for fun, can't really do anything with Warcraft Characters for licensing reasons but it would be cool do do a sequential page or two for my portfolio someday

I've already checked out your site and I really love your photoshop work. Oh and if you want to hook me up with Karleigh, that would be awesome lol.
I was the same as a kid. I sat and drew comics day after day, but never got to the level off a Todd McFarlane, Jim Lee, or Sam Keith. I was more of a copier than an artist. I always wanted to be in the comic industry and even in my middle-aged years, haven't really let go of it. I love collecting comics. My two prized possessions are my TMNT 1 CGC 7.5 and my Walking Dead 1 CGC 9.8.
If I could make a living inking, flatting or writing comics, (even part time) that would make me happy. It's funny how some things never leave you no matter how old you get.
Let me know if there's anything else you want flatted. And maybe someday, we might both get some of our goals accomplished in the comic book world.

Let me catch up and I will It's tough to make a living in a lot of fun fields like comic art, photography... even just art and design can be a challenge. I'm lucky as I have been able to freelance and make a living for years now so I'm kind of spoiled in that respect. If I had understood how comic art/artists work when I was a kid, I would have stayed that course as a colorist... I will be happy just to get good (judged by my peers) and maybe get my name on something real before I'm done. Meeting Stan Lee of Frank Miller would be a bonus!
