well, i create a layer apart, using multiply mode with a dark color (most of the time blue or purple) and i low opacity in photoshop or easy paint tool sai

Hmm intresting! I usually try to do contrasts in shading. Like opposite colours y'know? I really need to work on my humans.... I love your anatomy :'D
