Description

Remember there was a time when Jade & Smoke's backstory wasn't yet established so Malibu Comics (which making MK comics at the time) decided to think it through themselves ?

In short, due to the fact in MK2 Smoke & Jade both appeared in the background in the same location, some assumed that the characters are tied together, and that's exactly what Malibu Comcis though as well. So they introduced Jade (white for some reason) & Smoke as top assassin duo working for Shao Kahn.

Some could say it's a bit silly, but now that Smoke & Jade's backstories as established, and both of them turned into childhood friends of the "heroes" turned into victims... I prefer Malibu Comics variant for these two XD

Maybe, if I ever keep on expanding the MK elements in my DC Texverse, I'll introduce Jade & Smoke as teammates...
