Conductor Brooks, left, and Brakeman Lybrand, right, compare their timepieces for accuracy in a tradition honored by railroaders around the world. After making sure that everything is correct, these two gentlemen will make the boarding announcements for the 8:00 Polar Express.

In all reality, neither of the watches actually work. We both wear them for show and use digital wristwatches to keep time. As we were taking the photo, Mister Brooks said, "All right, well, they don't work, but let's compare them for giggles. Let's see, is yours anywhere near mine? By golly, it's not. You're off by five hours. Get that fixed!"

Silly little lines like that are why I enjoy working for Brooks.
