Description
Here's my regional variant concept for Psyduck! I wanted to solve the riddle of Psyduck's name/type/headaches/derpiness. It's based on the mallard, whose beautifully coloured plumage always looked magical to me. Please check out my design for its evolution, the regional variant of Golduck !
Details
Like with Galarian Zigzagoon, this regional variant of the duck Pokemon is considered to be the true form of Psyduck. It is part Psychic-type and is known for using its powers to freely manipulate water offensively and defensively. The jewel on its forehead, which matches that of Kanto's Golduck, is the source of its mystical powers. Kantonian Psyduck, a pure Water-type now thought to be a descendant of the original, is known for being unable to fully control its powers. Pokeologists believe this to be the reason why it suffers from headaches.

Drizzle – The Pokémon makes it rain when it enters a battle.
Magic Guard – The Pokémon only takes damage from attacks.
Hydrokinesis – Aqua Ring is activated when this Pokemon enters a battle. The power and accuracy of its Water-type moves is increased by 10%.
