I recently set up a Q+A with Simon Furman, a prolific transformers comic writer, and the question of whether he would consider continuing the original Marvel series came up.

He was in favour, but mentioned that current publishers IDW did not currently have reason to believe that there was a market for them out there.

So I have spearheaded an online campaign to get public support from the Transformers fans displaying their desire to have IDW publish a new comic from Simon starting at #81.

They recently did this with the GI Joe A real american hero comic, I believe they started it from #155.

We have over 1800 signatures, which is great, but my real goal is at least 5000.
