I know your comment is old, but I feel like you need to hear this. It's true creating a base IS tracing, BUT. Bases actually have helped me grow into the artist I am today, I swear i'm not hating on you, I consider myself an experienced artist with moderate skill. And I LOVE using bases, because it expands my comfort zone and I can experiment.Β Your art is actually super cute ;-; This is kind of like your Kemono fursuit base, except it's from some other art source and free, none crediting is terrible but as you noticed they did credit :3 and in their rules they required to credit her AND the original picture, which I haven't seen in a lot of bases and their desc.
Honestly I totally agree it is a grey area :3
