It simply radiates creepy atmosphere. that's not all though, it's just simply an amazing shot.
favourite part is the pile of logs and the sky.

Thanks, but it's not really HDR. This was done in Photoshop.

Found this on Bavenmark's latest journal entry. This is a really nice photo. Love damaged farm buildings.

Sort of, but not in the traditional sense of the term. I combined different exposures manually in Photoshop rather than automating the process with a piece of HDR software. I find that HDR software tends to leave images looking too fake and plastic for my liking.

Good job then.. But, don't you think that sometimes fake is better in some photos?? Try it..

Making an image look surreal can be appealing at times. I've experimented with that sort of thing quite a bit, but I still find that I prefer the challenge of editing my photos in such a way that they are able to retain a certain level of realism.

What a classic beauty of a barn in ruination! The clouds are gorgeous and just threatening enough to play up the danger the barn is in. I really love old barns and this one may not be around long!

Thank you! I took this shot nearly two years ago, but I'm fairly certain it's still there. There's also a bunch of old farm equipment & junk in the yard that I'm hoping to go back and try to photograph sometime in the future.

hmm, either you became an astronaut while you were asleep, or someone played a trick on you and put out astronaut clothes for you one morning when you weren't looking.
in either case, I'd be wary of large vehicles with the letters N-A-S-A written on the side.
mmmmm.......
do the words "Houston, we have a problem" mean anything to you?

what's with these astronaut pictures?
I don't believe you are an astronaut.
maybe a space cadet, but not an astronaut.
(boy if I am wrong I am really making an asstronaut out of myself)

ok she is the first Canadian woman astronaut.
I looked it up on Google.
I don't have any astronaut's autograph.
but I do own my own space ship and do time travel as a hobby!

Really tremendous, particularly the sky. I'm always a sucker for a really ominous looking cloudy sky, and this is one of the best I've seen.

This is a great shot. The tones are beautiful and so vivid. If I had one nitpick, it would be the touch of blue sky on the left side of the photo; it doesn't seem to belong and distracts a little.
I grew up in Northern Ontario but I had no idea where Bruce Mines was. I had to Google it!

Thanks! And yeah, you're right about the patch of blue sky. It sort of takes away from the whole "ominous" feel of the shot.
And where in Northern Ontario did you grow up?
