So, I tried an experiment this time. Steeve sent me the original PSD file of this one after I commissioned it. Since the PSD has a divide between the lines and the background, I decided to try adding a layer underneath the lines and just coloring it that way. It's something people have suggested I try. It certainly saved time, I'll give it that. The downside is doing it this way is that I'm stuck with the exact lines, so if there's anything I want to change, I'm out of luck. That's not a problem when the lineart is this good, but sometimes I want to touch things up just a little bit.
The thing I've noticed dong it this way is just how much variation in the line thickness there is. Since I don't have a pen tablet, I can't just use the pressure sensor to tell how thick the lines should be. If I wanted to do this, I'd have to manually alter the line thickness at the right points and that takes a lot of intuition that I don't have and also a lot of time that I'm not sure is worth it. I mostly just use manual line thickness controls to make lines taper at the ends. It does improve the look of it, but the variety in this does look better in a lot of small ways. I may experiment with a few ideas I got while working on this in the future.

Anyway, here's Johnny turning into a frog at a very awkward moment. Belly flop incoming.
One of the running jokes of Johnny's tfs is that he's come to associate tf with "playing hard to get." He sees it as a sign that someone's into him, but they just don't want him to know it because they don't want to appear to easy to get. That's why he never seems to catch on.
But another running gag that I've developed in these solo tfs that Steeve draws for me is that Johnny's association has also caused him to develop a problem of spontaneous transformation. This is supposed to parallel the concept of a spontaneous erection, which is why he always looks off his game in these solo pics. "Oops, now I'm a frog" is, in his mind, the emotional equivalent of "Oops, now I'm trying to not draw attention to the bulge."
In reality, the two are not related. Johnny's just been tffed so much that his morphogenic field has become a bit destabilized and now he just slips into other forms when certain as-yet undetermined factors apply. That said, Johnny is dumb and makes strange assumptions.

Thus ends Frogust. Since there's only a couple of days in August this week, I'm just posting one pic. This one was actually a rush job, since I miscounted how many pics I would need to meet my goal. The extra week (and the late game decision to post all related pics on the same day) kinda threw me off my count. But it's done.
