Description This was a quick carve from a remnant piece of Palm - approx 3' tall. I spent more time sanding and finishing this than carving and it is still rough. Needed to be sanded more but I left it rough. It will be for sale at The Revenge Of The Tiki 3 in Fort Lauderdale this weekend.

This is exquisite

You repeatedly fire my imagination. You constantly remind me the meaning and importance of color. Remind to look at the beauty found in the small things. And you regularly challenge me to master the materials and to push them to their limits.

Thank you for sharing. You have help me fall back in love with my own art

Thanks for compliment. It means alot to me to hear that. Tikis brought me out of an artistic slump as well. As a commercial graphics guy, I was burned out on doing what clients wanted and needed to find my own groove. If you want to see and more about tiki art and tiki culture go to www.tikicentral.com (I'm AlohaStation, this is my thread - [link] ). There are some fantastic artists on there making some really cool stuff along with events and opinions. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
