Description
In the dead of night, Tigress struggled lightly in the ropes that kept her secured to the pole her back was lined against. She was surrounded by a gang of Croc Bandits, with their smarmy leader Fung pacing in front of her. She glared at the pathetic display of intimidation as Fung attempted to size her up.
"Look, you got a job to do, I got a job to do. So why don't you just tell me where the ruby is?" Fung bargained.
"Or what? You're gonna play good croc-bad croc?" Tigress teased, unimpressed.
One of the Croc Bandits swatted away a wooden rack that held all of the bandits' weapons.
"You're going down! I'm not playing these games with you anymore!!" the goon shouted.
Fung's expression became deadpan. "Forget it, Gary, she knows."
The bandit called Gary glanced awkwardly between Fung and Tigress. "Oh...okay, well, I guess I'll clean up these weapons now." he hurriedly scooped up his comrades' weapons in his claws.
Tigress couldn't help but lightly smirk at the growing frustration evident on Fung's scaly face.
"And it's Gahri."
Fung swatted Gahri away from where he was leaning close to his side, causing him to drop all the weapons he'd just picked up. He then stomped closer to Tigress.
"If you don't want to tell us, fine. Then we'll do this the hard way," he threatened.
Tigress stood unfazed from where she remained tied up. "You already said that. That's twice now."
"Hey! I-It's a good line, so shut up..." Fung murmured.
"It is a good line," one of the bandits perked up.
Tigress shook her head.
"Now, where was I?"
Tigress cocked her head. "I think you were gonna yammer on, and I was gonna do this."
She thrust her right foot upward into Fung's crotch. The bandit leader let out a pained moan as he winced, clutching the area where he was just ambushed.
"Oww! Darn it!" Fung began shooing away the Croc Bandits who were closest to Tigress. "Everybody, back up, back up. She's got a vicious kick."
Tigress' smirk widened as Fung pranced around the area, rubbing the lower area where she'd kicked him. She waited until he got closer to her again while his back was turned.
"Ow, okay, who didn't tie her up below the knees? Come on, guys! This is basic stuff-!"
Fung was cut off when Tigress kicked him in the same spot. This time, he squealed even louder as his helmet fell to the ground. He grunted through the pain as he readjusted his helmet.
"Okay. That's it. I'm done going easy on you." he pointed a slightly trembling finger at Tigress.
"Let me guess. You're gonna do it the hard way," she breezily guessed.
Fung scowled at her. He then began chuckling as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a thick rag. Tigress glared at the implications of the rag in his claws.
"Bet you know what comes next," Fung boasted. "And guess what: it's not even washed."
"I don't even want to know what that was used for." Tigress grimaced.
"Not for the bathroom, I'll tell you that much."
Tigress rolled her eyes. "Lucky me-mmph!" she growled as Fung tightened the gag around her lips.
Fung stepped back as he and a few bandits leered at his handiwork. Tigress remained stoic and silent, her eyes shining with ice-cold fury.
"No more feisty words outta you. Especially for what comes next." Fung leaned over his shoulder and called out into the woods, "Bring it, boys!"
A low rumbling sound could be heard resonating in the air as the ground beneath Tigress' feet shook. A few birds flew out of the trees as what looked like a giant contraption began rolling out from the thicket.
"Prepare to be torn to pieces," Fung smirked.
Tigress' expression became more worried as a giant cart-shaped machine rolled out from the forest, crushing every bush and tree in its path. Once the vehicle came to a stop, Fung's jaw went slack.
"It's facing the wrong way!"
The Croc Bandits that pushed the machine began readjusting it. Fung stammered as he futilely instructed his lackeys to position the machine properly.
"Keep preparing to be torn to pieces! Just hold on a second!" Fung rushed over to help his underlings turn the machine around.
Tigress huffed through her nostrils as the minuscule bandit below her ankles continued tying her to the pole.
Quite the mess you landed yourself in this time, Tigress, she mused. The others don't know where you are, and Po probably hates your guts after your fight with him. And no telling if these idiots are gonna kill you or just keep you around as a bargaining chip. She glanced at the bandits who were patrolling the area.
But just then, she could've sworn she heard a faint voice cry out in pain somewhere in the forest.
Fung darted his head up, having heard the commotion as well. "There's an intruder in the woods! Find him!"
The Croc Bandits scrambled to locate the intruder, while Fung menacingly lumbered up to Tigress again. "Looks like we're doing this the hard way!"
A roundhouse kick to the face sent Fung collapsing to the ground. Tigress smirked behind her gag as Fung dragged himself away. They really should've tied her up below the knees.
"Darn it!"
As Tigress struggled to find some slack in her ropes, another figure snuck out from the bushes. She looked to her right and saw the last person she was expecting.
"Po?" she mumbled behind her gag.
The Dragon Warrior rushed over and pulled the gag off Tigress, who gasped in relief from the foul body odor it permeated.
"Po, listen, I-"
"You okay? Come on, let's get you and the statue out of here." Po began untying Tigress from the pole.
"I'm surprised you came back for me," Tigress admitted. "...Thanks."
Po gave her a friendly smile. "Well, it's protocol. You know, for friends."
Tigress smiled in return. It was good to know that some friendships could withstand almost any petty argument. And that such grudges could be put aside for the sake of a friend's safety.
